How Services are Paid
Therapy Services
OHP Clients:
Kinship House is a Division of Medical Assistance Programs (DMAP) provider. If a child has an "Open Medical Card" that does not have an MHO assigned for mental health services, Kinship House can bill OMAP for medically necessary mental health services.
Out-of Pocket:
Out-of-pocket payments are accepted at the time of services. Please feel free to speak with our billing coordinator if you have a special circumstance we should be aware of.
Private Insurance:
Kinship House will gladly work with you to utilize your private insurance. Specific benefits vary among plans, so please give the billing coordinator a call and we would be happy to check on your coverage.
Kinship House Scholarships:
In an effort to ensure that all children have access to the care they need, Kinship House actively fundraises with foundations, corporations, and individuals to provide scholarships to children and families. Please give us a call for more information. We have limited scholarships available for children in foster care, who have been adopted, and those who have been returned to their birth home.
Assessment and Transition Services
Administrative Medical dollars:
The dollars are accessed by State caseworkers and will cover assessments that address permanency and placement needs and/or attachment and bonding. The codes that are required for the assessments are listed on the State referral form.
We provide assessments for children from infancy through eighteen years of age and for parents. You may request an assessment for an individual, sibling group, parent-child interaction for a parent assessment. If you are uncertain about what you need, please contact the intake coordinator for consultation.
System of Care (SOC):
This money is accessed by State caseworkers and will cover transitional services for children who are moving into an adoptive home, are experiencing a disruption in their placement, or have been recently placed in an adoptive home. These funds are at a contracted rate for a predetermined number of hours. Please speak with our intake coordinator to begin the contract process and see our referral form for additional information.
