Foster Care and Adoption: A Pathway to Understanding
Written and illustrated by Kinship House Art Therapist, Heather Wilson, this is a uniquely illustrated, interactive, and educational book helping children understand the people and steps involved in their transition from foster care to adoption and permanency. Ideally used by a clinician or caseworker in therapy with a child, this is an engaging book to share with a special child.
Books may be purchased on line, by phone, 503.460.2796 x17. Costs are $20.00 per book plus $2.50 for mailing. Discounts for 6 or more books. Revenues subsidize children seeking services.

Book related trainings begin August 14th
Kinship House clinical team provides training to groups interested in understanding the child’s perspective with transitions and in supporting successful moves to permanency. Trainings target case and social workers, clinicians and parents interested in honing expertise in working with children and families in transition.
