Partners
Kinship House has many collaborative partners!
Many refer clients to Kinship House from the Department of Human services, including DHS caseworkers in all counties, judges, Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) workers, caseworkers, and attorneys. Several join with us to coordinate service deliveries with similar clients, such as Wrap Around Oregon. Some, such as the Oregon Post-Adopt Resource Center (ORPARC), Volunteers of America, Portland State University's Child Welfare Partnership, and the Northwest Health Foundation work with us to reach new communities and to help train new colleagues or groups.
Some offer volunteer services when needed to plant flowers, remodel, paint, plan fun events, donate toys, food and wonderful children's gifts. These volunteers come from various community groups, such as Hands on Portland, community churches, schools and businesses.
As a participant in Our Children's Store, we partner with many regional non-profit agencies serving children to run this seasonal retail store providing unique holiday gifts for the benefit of the agencies involved.
We also are fortunate to have many individual and family donors and foundations that support our services to children directly through contributions.
Our partners help us to increase awareness and understanding about the needs of foster and adoptive children, and to provide specialized and diverse mental health services. We value our partners! To explore how your group or agency may join, please call us at 503.460.2796 x11.
